Ivy Kerkemeyer & Shakira McCoy-Travers excel at the 2023 World Cup Series in Italy
In May this year, two of our talented skaters, Ivy Kerkemeyer and Shakira McCoy-Travers, had the incredible opportunity to represent Australia at the 2023 World Cup Series in Italy.

Joined by coach Tammy Bryant and Lucy Kerkemeyer, the team traveled to Italy, where they faced some of the world’s best skaters in this prestigious international competition.
Ivy’s Stellar Performance in Minis Freeskating

At just nine years old, Ivy Kerkemeyer impressed everyone with her dedication and skill, securing an impressive 3rd place in the Minis Freeskating event. Her performance demonstrated maturity beyond her years and showcased the hard work she has put into perfecting her craft. It’s no surprise that Ivy’s podium finish in such a competitive field has made her a rising star in the skating world.
Shakira’s Remarkable Return After Injury
Shakira McCoy-Travers also made an outstanding return to the international skating scene after a nine-month break due to injury and rehab.

Being back on the international floor was a huge milestone for Shakira, and her resilience was evident in her performance. Though the road to recovery was challenging, Shakira showed incredible determination and was thrilled to return to competition, representing both herself and Australia on the global stage.
Congratulations to Both Skaters
We couldn’t be prouder of both Ivy and Shakira for their performances at the 2023 World Cup Series. Ivy’s 3rd place finish and Shakira’s successful return after injury highlight their dedication to the sport and their commitment to pushing their limits.
Their success in Italy is just the beginning, and we can’t wait to see where their skating careers take them next!
