Star Class Levels
Level 1
Level 1 involves learning the basic skills of roller skating, including balance and learning to stop, as well as learning how to fall safely. Skaters in this level often begin by using a support frame to aid them in learning to stand and move on their skates.
Level 2
Level 2 skaters begin to learn more advanced skills such as skating backward, squatting, skating on one foot, turning and the beginning jumps.
Level 3
Level 3 is the final level before Star Class graduation. This level sees skaters progress to skills that are required for the first levels of Artistic Freeskating proficiency, such as one foot jumps, spins and more intricate footwork while moving both forward and backward. Level 3 may also lead to an invitation to participate at competition level.
