24–30 March 2025 | Taiwan
Two Team SkateFX artistic skaters, Emma Vonthethoff and Charli Walsh, were selected to represent Australia at the 2025 Taiwan Artistic Roller Skating Open, joining a team of talented skaters from across the country at ZhuBei Civil Sports Center in Hsinchu County, Taiwan.
The international competition offered an exciting opportunity for both skaters to take their skills overseas, experience a different competitive environment and be part of the Australian team.
Two Skaters, One Exciting Opportunity
Emma was selected to compete in Junior Free Skating, while Charli was named in the Cadet Free Skating category.
Their selection was a wonderful recognition of the hard work, dedication and commitment they had put into their skating.
Travelling overseas for competition brings experiences that extend beyond performing on the rink. From being part of a national team to meeting fellow skaters and experiencing an international event, opportunities like these create lasting memories and valuable learning experiences.
For Team SkateFX, having two club skaters selected for the same international competition was a particularly special occasion.
Congratulations to Emma and Charli! We’re incredibly proud of your achievements and the dedication that earned you this opportunity. It’s wonderful to see our skaters continuing to grow, challenge themselves and enjoy everything artistic roller skating has to offer.
