Team SkateFX’s artistic skaters came together on 7 December 2024 for our annual Christmas Show Skate, celebrating another wonderful year of skating, friendship and achievements.
The event brought together our artistic skating community for a series of fun and creative performances, with skaters and coaches developing and performing their own routines. It was a chance to celebrate the festive season, showcase their creativity and enjoy skating together.
A Special Tribute to Shakira
One of the highlights of this year’s celebration was a heartfelt tribute to Shakira, who was retiring from competitive artistic skating after achieving her goal of competing at the Artistic World Skating Championships.
To honour her skating journey, Toni, Lexi, Charli, Emma and Abby created and performed a special routine inspired by Shakira’s years as a senior competitive skater.
The performance brought together music and movements from many of Shakira’s routines over the years, celebrating the dedication, talent and memories that have shaped her skating career.
It was a fitting way to recognise such a significant achievement and mark the end of an important chapter in her competitive skating journey.
Congratulations to Shakira on everything she has achieved, and thank you to all our skaters and coaches who helped make the 2024 Christmas Show Skate such a memorable celebration!
