Carmen Bryant Shines at the 2022 World Skate Games in Buenos Aires
In November, Buenos Aires, Argentina, hosted the prestigious World Skate Games, where skaters from around the globe came together to showcase their talents on the world stage. Among the competitors was Australia’s seven-strong Artistic Skating team, with one standout athlete representing Team SkateFX as the only skater in the Freeskating discipline: Carmen Bryant.
Australia’s Freeskating Flag Bearer
Carmen’s selection as Australia’s only Freeskater at the World Skate Games was an honour in itself, but the recognition didn’t stop there. Carmen was also selected as a flag bearer for Australia, a proud moment for both her and our skating community.
Despite competing in a tough field of elite skaters from around the world, Carmen placed an impressive 21st, showcasing her resilience and skill in an incredibly competitive environment.
Carmen’s Achievements
Carmen’s journey to the World Skate Games is paved with numerous achievements that have cemented her place among Australia’s top Freeskating talents. Some of her previous notable results include:
- 2-time Oceania Champion
- 17th place at the German Cup in 2018
- 11th place at the German Cup in 2019
- 11th place at the Sedmak Bressen Trophy in Trieste, Italy in 2019
- 7th place in Senior Ladies at the Sedmak Bressen Trophy in Trieste, Italy in 2022
These accomplishments speak to Carmen’s consistent performance and growth as an athlete, always pushing the boundaries and representing Australia on the global stage.
